About Sarah

Since coming to office, Sarah has received national recognition for innovation and efficiency in government finance and treasury management, speaking nationally with organizations such as Governing and testifying before Congress. Her unique experience in serving as the Chief Banking Officer and Chief Investment Officer for the entire county, and her national leadership roles have positioned her to recognize the challenges and needs of local governments from rural, midsize to urban. This experience makes her well suited to serve as the 2nd VP of NACo.

My Story

Sarah’s career in public service spans over two decades. She has held various positions that have equipped her with the skills and knowledge necessary for this role.

 

  • Government Experience: Sarah started her career as a researcher for NASA at the age of 16. Since then, she has worked for the National Park Service, managed benefits for a large school district in Oregon, and served as the elected Coconino County Treasurer in Arizona since 2014.

 

  • Leadership Roles: Over the years, Sarah has taken on leadership roles in various committees and organizations.
